Twelve Mississippi businesswomen completed 18 hour of grooming throughAnnie ’s Project , a national program design for women concerned in agribusiness - found endeavour .
The training was held in later - winter at the Lincoln County Extension office through Mississippi Women for Agriculture and the Mississippi State University Extension Service . The programme is design to empower farm womanhood of all long time to be better business partners by utilizing networks and by managing and organizing critical information .

Sylvia Clark , vice president of Mississippi Women for Agriculture , says the programme is practical , as it was written by an extension agent in Illinois who maturate up in a farming family .

Annie ’s Project offers 18 hour of breeding by extension - service and business sector experts on such subject as woman and money ; interpersonal skills ; developing a vision , mission and goals ; developing a business architectural plan ; interpreting fiscal statement ; computer disc - holding ; insurance ; merchandising ; and farm ecological succession and land planning .
“ We partnered with other organizations to declare oneself these educational sessions and give participant info about what is uncommitted in their county , from system such as theExtension Service , Natural Resources Conservation Service , Farm Bureau and the farm credit scheme , ” she says . “ It ’s a true partnership with our community to help woman feel the resources they need .
