We ’ve visited and enjoy Jeff Calton ’s garden ( tntreeman ) in Tennesse quite a few time this twelvemonth , and today we ’re getting a glimpse of its last hurrah for the time of year , good manners of a shiver Jeff , who says he just about freeze out get most these photos a few mornings ago .
He says,“Since October 15th I have taken a few photos of my piazza . I ’m not almost so disciplined as Daniela to have a season - long series . If you have n’t figured it out by now , I grow more Tree , shrubs , woody ornamentals , and oddball perennials than flowery things . Everybody ’s interest are different , although I do like the flowery things too .
“ I do enjoy shine , seeing the changing personality of the garden and the unlike facets of the plant , even the frozen numb stuff . I had things in flower up to just before Halloween but one nighttime of 23 degrees sort of take care of that . Now I ’m waiting for the remaining leaves to come down so I can clean it up , mulch it up , and tuck everything in bed for winter . ”

Beautiful ! Jeff , it sure looks like your garden wo n’t bear much , visually , from wintertime . The biggest benefit of a tree- and bush - heavy garden ! Thanks so much for sharing . * * It ’s election twenty-four hours ! commend to vote ! * *
- The push is still on – get outdoors and take some last minute snap , or compile a few you take earlier in the season . I ’ll be eternally thankful … . Email them to[email protected ] . Thanks ! * * * *
