Bonnie has a few questions about how to use Dave ’s Fetid Swamp Water :

1 . Do YOU or any of your learned garden friend get laid if weed semen decay in piddle , and how long it takes ?

by and large , they do decay . But not always . It bet on the species . The longer they pose in the water system , however , the less potential they are to be a problem . Weed seeds might survive for a few days or a hebdomad or two , but are much less likely to still be viable after a month or more . If you are implicated about spreading a particular weed , skip adding it when in seed .

2 . RE : coffee berry grounds in the compost tea leaf . I read an article from someone arrogate that burnt umber grounds vote out dew worm — the leftover caffeine does it .. She had photos of the dead louse . I know coffee solid ground are pop for compost . hoi polloi even go to coffee shops to choke up away plastic bags of their pass grounds . But are they high-risk for microbes and worms ?

Anything that dies after drinking God ’s Gift of coffee deserves to die .

That said , I add coffee basis to my dirt ball bank identification number , often in huge quantity , and they have not died on me . These are Einsenia foetida , AKA red wigglers , however , and are not the same worms in garden soil .

3 . It sounds like you applied the tea full specialty in your garden That ’s what I did with the spruce tree diagram , but various articles mostly advise diluting the teatime in more water .

If I made a strong batch – say with fresh chicken manure – I would probably thin it . Generally , though , it ’s just a number of manure , some fish permissive waste and some weeds , so I use it straight .

Making stinking swampland urine is an easy elbow room to give the garden , and it ’s gruelling to screw it up . If it has bugs in it or mould in it or mosquito larva or whatever – do n’t worry about it . The plants wo n’t manage .

Also , check out Aardvark Screenprinting’sFetid Swamp Water t - shirt .

I bang mine .

Today I ’m run low to make a few more batches of swamp water , plus go glean some moo-cow manure for the gardens . It ’s been very teetotal lately and we ask to increase the fertility in our gardens as much as we can . The potatoes are already starting to come in , and shortly we ’ll have the odoriferous potatoes begin to run . The swamp piss I gave to our corn has already made a giving difference and I need to keep the momentum give out .
